  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened oat milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 apple, grated
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

How to cook it

  1. Combine the oats, water, oat milk, and salt in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and simmer, stirring often, for 5 minutes, until thick and creamy.
  3. Remove from the heat and let stand for 1 minute to thicken further.
  4. Stir in the grated apple and cinnamon.
  5. Spoon into a bowl and drizzle with the maple syrup before serving.
