Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 green chili
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water

How to cook it

  1. Rinse the mint and cilantro well and pick the leaves off any thick stems.
  2. Blend the mint, cilantro, green chili, ginger, roasted cumin, and salt with the lemon juice and a splash of water into a smooth, pourable chutney.
  3. Taste and adjust the salt and lemon, then serve fresh in a small bowl alongside the meal.
