Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp salt

How to cook it

  1. Trim the green beans and cut the potatoes into chunks about the same size as the beans, so everything cooks evenly.
  2. Put the potatoes and green beans in a pot of salted water, bring to a boil, and cook for 15 to 18 minutes until both are tender.
  3. Drain well and return the vegetables to the warm pot.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a small pan and fry the sliced garlic until golden, then stir in the paprika off the heat so it does not scorch.
  5. Pour the garlic oil over the drained vegetables, toss gently so they do not break apart, season with the salt, and serve warm.
