Maple Glazed Salmon
Maple Glazed Salmon is American home cooking, eaten at dinner. On the plate it is the dish at the centre. Below is what usually sits beside it, what it does and does not contain, and what else to cook once you have made it.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
How to cook it
- Heat the oven to 425F and line a sheet pan.
- Whisk the maple syrup, Dijon, grated garlic, and half the olive oil into a glaze.
- Toss the trimmed green beans with the remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper and spread on one side of the pan.
- Place the salmon on the other side, season with salt and pepper, and brush generously with the glaze.
- Roast until the salmon is just opaque and the beans are tender, about 14 minutes.
- Squeeze the lemon over everything and serve.

When to cook it
Maple Glazed Salmon takes about 30 minutes from a cold stove to the table, and the cooking itself is easy going. It is eaten at dinner. Nothing in the calendar rules it out, so it is a year round dish.
