Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

How to cook it

  1. Pat the chicken fillets dry and season both sides with the salt and the black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillet or griddle over medium high heat and add the crushed garlic cloves to flavor the oil.
  3. Lay the chicken fillets in the hot pan and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on the first side without moving them, until deeply golden.
  4. Flip and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes on the second side until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  5. Remove the garlic if it has browned too much, and squeeze the lemon juice over the fillets in the last minute of cooking.
  6. Transfer to a plate and serve immediately while hot.
