Buffalo Chicken Wrap

Buffalo Chicken Wrap is American home cooking, eaten at lunch. On the plate it is the dish at the centre. Below is what usually sits beside it, what it does and does not contain, and what else to cook once you have made it.

25 min Medium

Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups shredded romaine
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 celery stalks

How to cook it

  1. Warm the buffalo sauce with the butter in a skillet until melted and glossy.
  2. Add the shredded chicken and toss to coat and heat through, about 3 minutes.
  3. Warm the tortillas briefly to make them pliable.
  4. Spread ranch down the center of each tortilla and top with romaine, diced celery, cheddar, and the buffalo chicken.
  5. Fold in the sides, roll up tightly, and cut each wrap in half.

When to cook it

Buffalo Chicken Wrap takes about 25 minutes from a cold stove to the table, and the cooking itself is a fair bit of work. It is eaten at lunch. Nothing in the calendar rules it out, so it is a year round dish.
